Sushi Noz

What is your menu like?

Our Edomae style tasting menu begins with 5-6 otsumami, small plates that highlight seasonal fish and vegetables. The menu then progresses through 12-14 courses of seasonal nigiri, followed by miso soup, tamago, and dessert.

Guests are either seated at our 8-seat Hinoki Counter or our 6-seat Ash Room counter. For more information about these two rooms, please continue reading below.

How can we celebrate a special occasion at sushi noz? 

We ask to be made aware of a special occasion prior to the meal. We will include a special Sushi Noz touch to the meal.

How many seats and seatings do you have per day? 

We offer 4 seatings per day, Monday through Saturday. Seatings at our 6-seat counter take place at 5:45pm and 8:45pm; seatings at our 8-seat counter begin at 6:00pm and 9:00pm.

what is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before reservation time are non-refundable. For parties of 5 or more, cancellations made less than 5 days before reservation time cannot be refunded.

Is there a corkage fee? 

Yes, we charge $120 per bottle or $220 per magnum.

Please make sure to consult with the restaurant (call/email) prior to bringing bottles, as any wine/sake that is on the list can not be accepted as corkage.

do you offer dessert?

We typically offer a small dessert course to conclude the Omakase menu.

do you Gift vouchers? 

Yes, guests can purchase gift certificates by sending an email to reservations@sushinoz.com specifying their request.

can i wear perfume/cologne?

We ask that guests limit the amount of perfume they wear so as not to interfere with the experience of other guests. Please be conscious of the amount of perfume or cologne you apply before your meal.

is there parking nearby?

There is street parking available but not guaranteed. We do not offer valet service; however, there are multiple parking garages in the vicinity.

How do we get to Sushi noz?

Sushi Noz is located at 181 East 78th street between Third Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Upon your arrival, please ring the doorbell to be assisted. Sushi Noz is easily accessible via public transportation. The 77th Street Subway station is located two blocks away.

do you have a waitlist? 

Yes, our waitlist can be found on our TOCK page.

what is your gratuity policy?

Per Japanese custom, we do not require gratuity. If you would like, you can offer to leave a gratuity at your convenience.

Do you offer a beverage pairing? 

Yes. Our beverage pairings typically include a mix of sake, champagne, and white wine. There are two distinct.pairing options: the Classic Pairing and the Reserve Pairing. We also offer a la carte beverages accompanied by our on-premise beverage director.

Beverage pairings can be requested beforehand or can be chosen at the start of your meal.

do you have a dress code?

While we do not require formal wear we do ask that guests refrain from athletic wear, athleisure, etc. We also ask to dress comfortably.

when will you release new reservations? 

Reservations are released approximately six weeks prior to the date.  However,  the release of future reservations are not subject to a specific schedule. Please join our mailing list to be notified when new reservations are released.

what happens if i arrive late? 

Unfortunately, Sushi Noz cannot guarantee the full menu to guests who are more than 15 minutes late. Out of respect to the chefs, we ask that guests please alert us of any tardiness prior to the start of the meal.

How long does a seating last? 

A typical seating will last about 2.5 hours.

DO you offer private dining or catering?

Yes, Sushi Noz offers private dining experiences at the Hinoki Counter, which can accommodate up to eight guests, and in the Ash Room, which can accommodate up to six guests.

Reservations for more than four guests constitute a buyout. Please call the restaurant to confirm the availability and pricing of the buyout. Please note, the buyout policy applies to guests who reserve separate reservations under separate names but who are part of the same party. Should this be the case, please regard your reservation as being subject to our buyout policy as outlined above.

Sushi Noz also offers private catering events.

DO you accomodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, with certain exceptions. We must be made aware of dietary restrictions at least 72 hours before the reservation time, or else they may not be accommodated.

Unfortunately, certain dietary restrictions, such as requests for no rice, cannot be accommodated. We cannot accommodate vegetarian or gluten-free guests. Given the nature of the current menu, we are unable to accommodate shellfish allergies or Kosher diners at this time. Please be sure to contact us at least 72 hours before your meal to confirm that your dietary needs can be met.

Guests with dietary restrictions who have not familiarized themselves with the policies stated above remain subject to our cancellation policy.


DO you allow children? 

Yes, children are allowed. However, all guests must be able to eat the menu as it is presented by the chef, regardless of age.

can you accommodate large parties? 

We can accommodate, at most, parties of six people in the Ash Room, or eight people at the Hinoki Counter.

We can accommodate larger parties through private catering events which can be inquired at reservations@sushinoz.com.

What is your menu like? 

Through a 20 to 25 course menu, Noz 17 aims to let each ingredient shine at the peak of its season; therefore, the menu will change micro-seasonally depending on ingredients sourced and offered on that particular day.

do you offer a beverage pairing? 

We do not offer a beverage pairing. We do offer a highly curated selection of wine, sake, champagne, and beer that will change alongside the menu.

How does noz 17 differ from Sushi Noz? 

At Noz 17, the mission is to highlight the natural beauty of Japanese ingredients. Therefore, the experience will be analogous to the transformative experience Sushi Noz creates but will highlight the beauty of simplicity in nature.

How many seatings do you have a day? 

The counter at Noz 17 can accommodate seven guests per seating. We serve two seatings per day, Monday through Saturday, at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, respectively.

There will also be a more intimate four-person counter seating which will also be available Monday through Saturday, at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, respectively.

Both rooms will offer the same menu.

is there a corkage fee? 

Yes, we charge $120 per bottle or $220 per magnum, for a maximum of two bottles per party. Every additional bottle past the initial two will be charged at a rate of $200 per bottle, or $300 per magnum.

Please make sure to consult with the restaurant (call/email) prior to bringing bottles, as any wine/sake that is on the list can not be accepted as corkage.

What is your vaccination requirement?

We are committed to complying with all city and CDC guidelines regarding the spread of COVID-19. We require all guests to show proof of vaccination upon arrival. Please bring your vaccine card or another verified document.
